T-Mobile and Netflix are partnering up to meet all your digital needs in one great package.

According to CNET, many subscribers to T-Mobile’s “One” unlimited data plans will now be able to snag Netflix for free.

T-Mobile CEO John Legere announced the new partnership on an “Un-carrier Next” webcast video on Wednesday.

“The future of mobile entertainment is not about bolting a satellite dish to the side of your house or resuscitating faded 90s dotcoms. The future is mobile, over-the-top and unlimited,” Legere said. “While the carriers spend billions on their franken-strategies to cobble together carrier–cable–content mashups, the Un-carrier just leapfrogged them all by partnering with the best and giving it to customers at no extra charge. Because that’s what we always do. Give more to you without asking more from you.”

The free Netflix perk, which is exclusive to T-Mobile One users, will be launched next week, on September 12.

Customers who are on promotional plans, like two lines for $100, will have to upgrade if they want to opt into this service, according to reports.

Those who sign up for this plan will be eligible for a standard $9.99 subscription for Netflix at no extra monthly cost, though they may upgrade to the $11.99 plan as long as they are prepared to pay the difference.

While those who signed up for T-Mobile’s “line-on-us” plan reportedly still qualify for free Netflix, whose who have the 2-lines-for-$100 or the recently announced Unlimited 55+ plans must upgrade.

T-Mobile Chief Operating Officer Mike Sievert has confirmed that T-Mobile is the only carrier in the U.S. that will be allowed to offer this deal with Netflix.

“This is the right move at the right time — for all the right reasons,” Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said in a blog post. “More and more fans are bingeing on mobile, so we’re bringing together Netflix’s award-winning TV shows and movies with T-Mobile’s award-winning, unlimited network.”

This Netflix giveaway is a hopeful move on T-Mobile’s part, one that proves the carrier is desperately working hard to compete with Verizon and AT&T, which both offer their own streaming perks.

According to The Verge, AT&T/DirecTV and Time Warner have recently formed an alliance, while Sprint previously offered a year of Amazon Prime service to its newest customers.

Teaming up with Netflix is certainly a major step forward for T-Mobile, which now has its own secret weapon against its competitors.
