For people who really hate leaving the house to go shopping, Amazon is truly a godsend. But there’s nothing worse than returning something you don’t like.
At the end of the day, it’s much easier to walk into a store and return a dress that doesn’t fit than sending it back to Amazon in the mail.
If you’re as lazy as I am, then you probably just forget about returning your items altogether. Just think about how much money we’re wasting!
Thankfully, we have some awesome news for people just like you (and me!), and you’re going to love it.
Amazon has just announced that it’s teaming up with Kohl’s starting in October to allow Amazon customers to return certain products.
According to Don’t Waste Your Money, Kohl’s will now accept eligible returns from Amazon at 82 locations in Los Angeles and Chicago.
Once the item is returned to a Kohl’s store near you, it will be shipped back to Amazon’s warehouse.
That way, you don’t have to deal with repacking and taping the box and sending it back to Amazon yourself—Kohl’s is there to do it for you!
The best part? This service is totally free!
“We are thrilled to launch this unprecedented and innovative concept, allowing customers to bring in their unpackaged Amazon returns to Kohl’s and we will pack them, ship them, and return them to Amazon for free,” Richard Schepp, chief administrative officer for Kohl’s, said in a press release. “This is a great example of how Kohl’s and Amazon are leveraging each other’s strengths – the power of Kohl’s store portfolio and omnichannel capabilities combined with the power of Amazon’s reach and loyal customer base.”
“Amazon Returns at Kohl’s creates a convenient location for Amazon customers to return eligible Amazon.com merchandise,” added Shivi Shankaran, Director of Worldwide Customer Returns at Amazon. “Teaming up with Kohl’s provides an incredible opportunity to pair our world-class return experience with a great shopping experience, expanding our service options to our customers in the Los Angeles and Chicago areas.”
All eligible items can be returned to any one of the 82 Kohl’s locations, and Amazon customers do not have to package the items they want to return beforehand.
In fact, some Kohl’s locations are even offering special parking lots near the store entrances for Amazon customers specifically.
Earlier this month, Kohl’s also announced that a new Amazon smart home experience will be launched in 10 Kohl’s stores across the Chicago and Los Angeles starting in October.
