Every you ever fantasized about working from home? Waking up in your jammies, making a hot cup of coffee, and settling in on your couch to get to work…it sounds like a dream, right? Well, if you love looking at pictures, we have the perfect job for you!
Are you familiar with Shutterstock? The popular stock photo site offers millions of royalty-free photos, typically used for blogging, online articles, and websites. Right now, the company is looking for work-from-home editorial image and illustration reviewers.
So, what do these jobs entail? As an image reviewer, you’ll be checking out all of the stock images to make sure they meet the site’s guidelines. Basically, you’ll confirm that the pictures are up technical standards and restriction expectations before they go to the stock catalog. Using your keen eye for detail, you’ll be the one in charge of the stock image approval process. Pretty cool, right?
If an image doesn’t meet Shutterstock’s standards, you’ll just send it back to the contributor with your suggestions. The illustration reviewer is the same, just with illustrations instead of images!
Both of these jobs are freelance, work-from-home roles that require about 25 to 30 hours a week, which includes 5 to 8 hours on the weekends.
Still interested? Here’s how to know if you qualify:
-You have 2 years of photography experience (illustration/vector experience for the illustration reviewer role)
-You have knowledge of editorial events, industry trends, and styles
-You have high-speed wired broadband internet access on your PC or Mac with accurate color display
-You have a organized, analytical, authoritative, and confident personality
-You speak English fluently
-You own a license for Adobe Illustrator and are familiar with Photoshop, Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite
