Yelp constantly saves us cash by telling its customers which restaurants are worth their money, and which ones just aren’t up to par.

Thanks to Yelp’s handy device, we can easily pinpoint which restaurants sound good within our price range.

While Yelp often helps you save cash, you might not realize that it can also help you earn money.

As it turns out, Yelp has its own cash-back program that was rolled out in December 2016.

Here’s how it works:

Yelp’s cash-back program, which is a partnership with Empyr, requires that you do almost nothing to start earning cash-back at your favorite restaurants.

After signing up for the program on the Yelp cash-back page, simply enter your debit or credit card information. Once you’ve given Yelp this information, you truly have to do nothing else.

Each time you visit a participating restaurant, you’ll earn 7% to 10% cash back, as long as you use the card or cards that you registered with Yelp.

One side note: Yelp’s cash-back program does not work with online or delivery orders.

Unlike other cash-back apps, there are no minimum purchases required to participate in this deal. There are also no exclusions.

Yelp will credit your cash back to your card on the 18^th of every month after you’ve made your purchases, so always check to see how much money you’ve made through this awesome program.

If, for whatever reason, you no longer want your card saved online with Yelp, you can easily remove it or add a new one.

What restaurants are participating?

When Yelp’s cash-back program was launched last year, about 8,000 businesses signed up, but there are certainly more now.

Naturally, if you live in a major city like New York or Los Angeles, you are more likely to have a participating restaurant near you than if you live in a small town.

To see if a particular restaurant is participating in the program, simply go to Yelp, search the restaurant, and check for the phrase “Dine here for X% Cash Back,” which should be located underneath the photographs.

If you live in a larger city, you can also filter your search results to show only “Cash Back” participants.
