Verizon is again this year giving away free school backpacks filled with essential school supplies as part of their School Rocks Backpack Giveaway! You do not have to be a Verizon customer to receive a backpack.
What Is It
Each child who attends the backpack giveaway in person will receive one free backpack filled with essential school supplies while supplies last. The backpacks are designed to help students start the new school year prepared and may include items such as notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, crayons, glue sticks, and other basic classroom essentials. Contents may vary by location and availability.

How to Claim It
This year, the 14th giveaway, they will give away a total of 125,000 backpacks on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 1PM. Find one of the 1,300+ participating locations here.
TCC and Wireless Zone nationwide stores are inviting local families to their locations to pick up a backpack filled with pencils, paper, a pencil box, folders, a ruler and glue. One backpack per child present will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. No purchase necessary. More info.
