| Black is the classic color. You can wear it at anytime as long as it is simple without any enbellishments on it. IT is all about how you accessorize the dress that makes the difference. As long as you are understated, elegant and not tawdy and do not outshine the bride, then why not? |

| I wore black to my daughters wedding. As long as your daughter doesn't mind. I think it looks more formal than other colors. |

| My daughter is getting married in March, and her colors are pink, black and white. I'm wearing a formal black gown and the maid-of-honor is also in black. The other 3 bridesmaids will be in pink. I wasn't sure at first, but seeing the dresses together I think it's going to look wonderful. |

In todays fashion, color is your choice. The only rule it seems, is that you choose that color very tastfully and also the "cut" of the dress. Especially at a wedding! How rude it would be for a guest to upstage a bride by dressing a bit "loosly or sleezy" which then causes more of the attention to go towards the guest & her very bad choices than to the Bride on her very special day?! |

| Well, isn't it a little weird to wear black dress on a wedding day? I mean, it's supposed to be a happy, shiny day. It would be bad luck to the newlyweds! |

| Only two colors are unacceptable at a wedding - RED and WHITE/IVORY/CREAM. I had my bridesmaids in little black dresses. They have worn them multiple times since my wedding - best bridesmaid dress ever. |

My best advice would be to simply ask the bride and groom. If they don't mind, then that's all that matters.
Both my mother and the mother of the groom wore black dresses at our wedding. My groom thought that it might be morbid or something, but in reality they both felt very beautiful being able to pick their favorite "little black dress". |

| As long as your not the bride, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a black dress. It's very dressy, classy and can be very sexy. Go for it!!! And feel confident that you look fab!!!!!!! |
